Day 14 of Singledom

Exciting news in Singleville! We have a contestant in the running. Mind you an older, very attractive one who definitely has his shit together. This guy came into my store (dog boutique) about a month ago and donated a couple hundred dollars worth of food to the Chicago Canine Assoc. Very cool. I remember him as the guy with the out of control dog who just wanted to play. I am a sucker for a guy who loves his dog. He was cute but didn't get to see him with his hat off. I had a boyfriend at the time so I naturally paid more attention to his dog than him and sent him on his way when he tried flirting with me. This same guy has been in couple of times more asking about me when I wasn't there then last night he called and asked for me. I like persistence in a man but not pushiness so maybe it was for the best that he asked me now with all my coworkers cheering me on to say yes to a date, a month ago the answer would have been no, maybe even a week ago but now I am ready. I think. Hopefully this date doesn't end up in tears!

On the other end had to tell my ex I can't talk to him. At least for now. I need some space from even just being his friend. Time to get ready to work, as usual and hitting a comedy club tonight to cheer or jeer on a friend!
